Social Justice Fallacies

Comments:

Wesleyan University used to have a page with a list of recommended resources "for those who want to better understand the history of race and the impact of racism on our society":

https://web.archive.org/web/20240613010631/https://www.wesle...

That page listed many books, including:

- How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi

- White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk about Racism by Robin DiAngelo

If you're going to list books like that, and you want people to be well informed, you should list books that present different views based on the same facts, such as:

- Woke Racism: How a New Religion Has Betrayed Black America (https://www.amazon.com/Woke-Racism-Religion-Betrayed-America...)

But, not that book isn't listed.

Neither is Social Justice Fallacies, by Thomas Sowell (https://www.amazon.com/Social-Justice-Fallacies-Thomas-Sowel...).

Why do university leaders preaching 'academic freedom', when they themselves chill academic speech by hiring only those who agree with them on controversial issues?
